It’s nearly time. Registration for the 2026 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup opens on the 20th of June, giving young riders from across Asia and Oceania the chance to fight for a place on the Road to MotoGP™.
The Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup is one of the most important stepping stones in motorcycle racing. It offers competitors the opportunity to race alongside MotoGP™ and showcase their skills on equal machinery: the Honda NSF250R Moto3™. With everyone on the same bike, it’s the rider that makes the difference.
Since launching in 2014, the ATC has helped produce Grand Prix winners, World Championship challengers, and some of the biggest names in Moto2™ and Moto3™. In 2025, Somkiat Chantra and Ai Ogura – both ATC alumni – stepped up to MotoGP™. From Chantra and Ogura to Deniz Öncü and more, ATC riders are making waves at the highest level.
It starts with a dream. Now it’s your chance to chase it.
Enrollment and selection
Registration opens at www.asiatalentcup.com on the 20th of June 2025 and runs until the 20th of July. Once registered, applications will be reviewed and a shortlist will be published ahead of the Selection Event, where the future stars of the grid will be chosen.
This year’s Selection Event takes place at the Sepang International Kart Circuit in Malaysia on the 22nd of October 2025, just before the Malaysian Grand Prix.
At the Selection Event, the top applicants will be assessed on and off the bike. Those who impress will be offered a place on the 2026 ATC grid.
Important information
There’s no minimum racing experience required. We’re looking for potential – and the dream to go further.
Previous experience could include dirt track, MiniGP, motocross, scooter racing, or any two-wheel competition. We’re looking for skill, ambition, and the hunger to improve, not polished race winners.
Applicants must be born between the 1st of January 2005 and the 15th of February 2012.
